Alan's connection with Islam began in childhood, when he met Muslim immigrants in his city and admired their kindness, love, and respect. His interest grew after watching The Message, the film about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and later he discovered Salam Center through Facebook, where its content and dialogue deeply affected him and encouraged him to learn more about Islam.
